Cetak Terbaca
DISCLOSURE

A publisher's roster is not a shared document.

Terms differ by author and always have. An established novelist gets a different rate from a first book, which is ordinary trade and which no publisher will expose to their whole list.

One author sees one title

Their own. Not the imprint's other books, not the terms of anyone else on the list.

Retailer discounts stay in the trade

What a chain pays a publisher is between those two, and authors are not party to it.

The publisher's list stays theirs

Aggregate performance across titles is the core of the business and does not become visible to any author.

We read none of it

We keep the infrastructure alive and are not a third party to any contract on it.

If you publish, or are published.

The useful thing is concrete: what your statement shows and what you wish it showed.
